Directly inland from Brittas Bay is where you’ll find this quaint little hamlet town. This area is rich in history with loads to see the mystic Motte Stone – a missile narrowly dodged by Culcuhllain from which a stunning view of Castle Howard in the valley can be seen. Heading down from the stone takes you to the Miners Cross for a quick cuppa in the Avoca Woollen Mills before heading back towards Redcross through the Kilmagig Forest. Finishing up in Mickey Finns Pub & Bistro and taking in a brewery tour is a must. Distance is 14-20km’s.
