Wicklow The Murrough

This can be either a full or half day trip. We start at either Wicklow’s famous Gaol or the 8th century viking Black Castle, both are located close to Wicklow Pier. If you’ve seen The Guard with Brendan Gleeson & Don Cheadle then this is the very pier in the final scene of the classic 2011 film.
We head North alongside the working docks and hopefully catch a glimpse of Sammy the Seal blagging his daily fish from The Fishman before gliding effortlessly along the tidal river onto the Murrough for a quick blast on Ireland’s only outdoor pump track before continuing along the beach towards Greystones.
